CFI Awarded $10,000 SAGA Grant

We are so very excited to announce that we have been selected to receive the final SAGA grant for 2018, awarded to Columbia Fire and Iron on Saturday night at an event co-hosted by Spokane Arts and Artist Trust. This will have a huge impact on our organization, and we are so grateful for this recognition and support from Spokane Arts. The funds will go toward the purchase of a trailer to house and transport our growing store of equipment and toward the purchase of 6 more anvils for our Hammer-Ins, with leftover funds going toward additional tools and steel. The acquisition of a trailer will enable us to have more annual events than ever before, which is great news for Spokane area blacksmiths!

The grant application process was arduous and we are beyond happy that it paid off. There is so much that we hope to accomplish with this grant! Stay tuned for many more opportunities to blacksmith in 2019!
