Steve McGrew Legacy Library Meet Up 3/27/22

We are very grateful to our late president Steve McGrew for the donation of his extensive blacksmithing book collection to CFI, and we are excited to offer our members a chance to peruse his library of blacksmithing knowledge at what will be the first of many library events. Join us at the Shadle Library meeting room on Sunday, March 27th, from 2 to 4pm to browse the books, some of which are very old and rare. The books can not be “checked out” or taken off site, so plan on snapping pictures or taking notes if you want to take home references. There are sure to be a lot of resources and inspiration within these pages. This is also a great opportunity to catch up with and meet other local smiths after a long pause in club activity.

As a service to Spokane-area smiths, we will also be bringing over a load of coke (fuel) from our friends in Idaho, which is available for pre-order and can be picked up at the library event (in the parking lot) on the 27th.
