Steve McGrew is offering 16 spots in his kids patch knife class this January! Proceeds will benefit Columbia Fire & Iron so we can invest in more tools for the club’s next Hammer-In this spring!
Kids Patch Knife Class
January 18 & 19, 2020 | 8am to noon or 1pm to 5pm
This four-hour class is aimed at young students, ages 12 to 15. It teaches basic blacksmithing skills. Beginners will learn hammer skills and elementary heat treating, in making a “patch knife”: a small one-piece knife used by flint lock rifle enthusiasts. Gift certificates available upon request that you can print and give this holiday season, just be sure to email Mallory at smith@columbiafireandiron.org by December 22nd to receive it by Christmas Eve!

Cost: $75 per student
